Meet the team... Adam Arnott

Adam founded D&F in early 2020. Strange Covid times, but a great time to start something that he had been thinking about for many years.

So why set up another property debt advisory brokerage?

After uni at Roehampton, London, Adam begain working in the city, within asset management and fund supermarkets, then moved to Bristol and worked for (and really enjoyed) working for L&C mortgages (one of the largest in the country). Then was approached to set up a mortgage brokerage day one into a fully FCA directly authorised company. Employing numerous staff and diversifying into bridge, commercial, ex pat, HNW and development funding.

Whilst enjoying all of the above, the opportunity has always been, when other brokers don't have a simple referral for their client, they're either pushed to the back of the queue as the broker wants quick win business, or sent to as many lenders as possible and the market does not respond well to this.

There in lies where we sit. Yes, of course we'll process and sort the vanilla elements for you. However we come into our own when others can't help, or you know what you want but have no idea how to fund it or get there. Or the broker said they could help, you're invested into the project and they're nowhere to be seen. Sounds familiar we know!

Our confidence comes from our no fee's at all until you have credit backed terms in hand. No brokerage should take any fees upfront - we do our job and you pay us. If we don't both win, why should we still get paid.

Our relationships with lenders allow us to find solutions, underwrite with the financiers so we all make a margin and know who is right for you.

Outside of work?

Adam has two amazing kids who keep him on his game. Is chairman (and occasional player) of Bristol Aeroplane Company RFC (the original Bristol aeroplane works team) and loves sailing whenever he can with family and friends.
